Jane Plume is a single woman with three children who is taking care of her best friend's children after
her husband and her died.
Jane and Gina met 14 years ago when they worked together and became best friens. They would always hang out and do different activities, even though it was only be relaxing.
One day, Gina's husband was diagnosed with cancer and knew he was going to die soon, but unexpectidly, one day Gina had an accident and died. It wasn't an easy time for Jane but she and her friend's husband decided to stick together. But they both knew he was going to die, so Jane promised him that when that happened she would raise their children and he was very thankful.
When he died Jane had to work very hard but she says she doesn't regret anything because she loved her friend as a sister.
I personally admire this woman because she had toi put in so much effort to keep going with 5 children even though they are not very little. I would definitely do something like this for my best friend but I think I should have to work so hard for it. I hope I don't ever have to do it but if I have, I will do it without even thinking about it. As Jane says in the article, family are those people you chose and to my best friend I would do anything because I know she will always be there for me if I need it.

Miley Cyrus
All of us know about Miley Cyrus, also known as Hannah Montana for basically all the world. She started with this serie when she was 14 and she was only a preteen. She was famous all over the world and I dare to say that probably more than half of the girls (like childs back then) used to watch it. The episodes were funny and personally I really loved it.
When us, the girls that used to watch it, became older there was that tipical tropicl like if you watch Hannah Montana you are a child, and no one wants to be a child when you are in high school because everyone wants to get older and become a teenager as soon as possible. Mostly of the people stopped watching the series and in 2011 Hannah Montana stopped recording, it was over.
But Miley Cyrus didn't stop singing. She kept recording and making her songs and her fans kept following and supporting her no matter what. But she wasn't super famous back then.
Miley grew up, she got older and was engaged to an actor, but things happened and they broke up. Miley wasn't ready for this at all and suddenly her songs showed a part of Miley people didn't know yet.
Not even a year ago now Miley released a video called We Can't Stop, a video where she appeared a bit provocative and sensual, apparently mentioning drugs and alcohol. From this, almost all the world started to talk about her and criticize her, saying awful things. But she didn't mind a lot and months later recorded a video called Wreaking Ball where she appeared even more provocative. Apparently this song was made indirectly to his ex, because he hurted her a lot. One of the things she says is "Don't you ever say "I just walked a way, I will always love you". And people criticized her a lot again. Until one day she said in front of a camera that she only grew up and that she only shows what teens do but no one tells. People criticized her for appearing almost naked and all she said was that they couldn't understand because what that video showed is that she ended up like with nothing with all the pain of the break up. The truth is that there is so many other celebrities that do music videos similar to these but they are not judged because they've been doing this since always. What I think is, Miley only grew up and all of us have seen her do it, the problem here is that people judge her because they remember her as the little girl but she is not a girl anymore! People don't stay little for ever. She is mature enough. No one criticizes Rihanna or Shakira or Beyonce, but everyone criticizes Miley. Why? Can't she be what she is or does she have to pretend something she is not only to please people? Then she would be fake, huh? Some people should clear their mind and take care of their own business!!

Judgemental generation
When you are a teenager it's "normal" that you take care a lot of what you wear and do and we trend to judge people so fast by anything. A lot of people do that when they are little, when they are adult and when they are old, but the stage that does this more is the young one.
Teenagers tend to check other people from head to feet, criticizing their flaws and judging them. When they are in group they tend to make laugh of people and ridiculize them, like if they were perfect or something when they are not. It's hard to not be like this if you get easily attached to what people think and you think other people's opinion are more worth than yours, and this is something many people think nowadays. So if one person, for example, the "lider", the "popular" one at school thinks something someone is wearing is not cool, then everyone seems to not think it neither. Every single person has their own ideas! Some people should focus on what they think and not on what other people think!
But opinions are not always good. Mostly they are negative and affect other people. There is no need to make someone feel unworth or to make they think they are doing something wrong just by wearing some clothes or because they are how they are. Everyone is different and no one should criticize anyone.
What magazines post in their covers is what people follows. The current society's idea of a beautiful body is thin, super skinny. To be beautiful you must have a perfect hair all the time, a perfect make-up on, beautiful eyes and perfect lips; if you are not like that, then you are not beautiful.
Seriously? Even though this is seems to be changing lately.
From all of this, this generation, my generation, is always caring about how do they look like and are worrying all the time if they are what it's apparently "good". It has arrived to that point where people is comparing themselves to other people all the time. They see only their flaws and tend to think that what other people have is better than theirs (if not then it's horrible and the worst). They spend they life suffering, thinking that they are not good enough and that they have to look specially in one way to be understood, love or whatever. I'm not talking about every single person but mostly, about more than half of the teenagers.
To be honest, I'm a bit judgemental but with the person that I'm more judgemental is with myself. Obviously I look at other people even though I don't like to do it that much but when I see something I don't like I don't go directly to judge it, I just respect it because it's obvious I can't like everything; I know there is people that don't like maybe my clothes but there is no reason to judge. Everyone wears what they like and that is it.
If I see something I don't like of someone, I take a look at myself and all I do is check and see if I'm not like them, but just to myself. There is no need to make someone feel uncomfortable.
I think everyone should take care of themselves and not care about what other people is doing. If I could talk to the world I would tell everyone to look for them, take care of what they wear and what they do but never compare themselves to other people. Every person is different and no one is better than the other so there is no need to feel unworth or something. If there is something you don't like about yourself then go and change it, but don't be comparing all the time to other people because then it won't be you, it will be another person but not you.
On the internet there is so many people that gives their opinion on multiple things. In Youtube there is a bunch of videos and one I've seen recently is Chris Collins' one. I totally agree with his opinion and as he is from the same generation as me, all he says is so accurate:

FILM REVIEW: The Book Thief
Approximately one month ago I went to the cinemas to watch a movie with my friends called The Book
Thief. I really enjoyed this movie and to be honest it's very sad but because it is very realistic and shows things that happened years ago. I cried and I wasn't the only one; basically all the people watching the movie were crying.
This movie starts with the story of Liesel, a young girl whose little brother dies in the beggining of the movie when they are on their way to some "addoption" because of the situation in Germany during Hitler's times.
She arrives at the house where an old couple are waiting for her. They were expecting to have two children and the woman was a bit disappointed when she saw only the girl. This woman was kind of mean in the beggining but during the movie she starts being more comprensive and finally she loves her as a granddaughter. The man since the first time treats her very good and makes her feel more comfortable.
When Liesel arrives she is first made laugh of at school because she can't read. She hates it and the man helps her to learn. She starts to read a lot. Meanwhile she meets a blondie guy at her class who is her neighboor and they become very friends; he likes Liesel and he is constantly asking her to give him a kiss but she always rejects him.
One day a jewish guy arrives. He is the son of some old friend the man had and he has to take care of him because some years ago he promised his friend he was going to do something for him whenever he needed it. This friend was dead but his son was in danger so he asked him for help and he received it. The couple had to hide him from everyone because if Hiltler's people found him all of them would be dead immediately.
Liesel becomes his friend fast and they live a "normal" life. She gets to know the major's wife and she lets her go inside the house and read the amount of books she has for hours. She really enjoys it but one day the major sees it and gets angry. Since that day Liesel has to stop going to the house.
One day Hitler's people is checking every single house to be sure there is no jewish people hiden. Liesel and the blondie are in the street playing with other boys and when Liesel sees it goes directly to the house to let the old couple know. They get very nervous and they try to hide the jewish guy. It seems like it's impossible and the woman tries to act like there is no one. They are friends with those men so they are very friendly but still, they have to check. So they go downstairs and the couple and Liesel were very scared. But they didn't see anything.
They calmed down but at night Hitler's people start to bombard the city and all the town have to hide in a safe place. But the jewish man can't and he decides to enjoy that time when no one is in the streets and decides to go outside. When the family comes back they see he is not there and guess he is dead. They are sad but keep with everything.
At the end a voice that is not any character in the movie starts to talk: the Dead. It says one of those nights he took so many lifes and the blondie and his family appear and so the old couple does. Suddenly Liesel appears (she is alive) and we can see all destroyed. She sees everyone she loves dead and the blondie lying in the floor. She goes to him and sees he is not dead but almost. At this time, the blonde guy tells her "let me tell you one thing" and she is like "no, don't say nothing", but he insists and he says "I love you" and then he dies. Liesel kisses him but it's too late. In this moment everyone in the hall cried.
Then appears how Liesel is in the streets and is in a shop where the blonde guy's father works ( he was in the war and didn't die ) and suddenly the jewish guy appears; he didn't die neither.
I really enjoyed watching this movie and I think it's very beautiful and realistic because it shows how people had to live years ago with Hitler and all that law. It shows how german people had to live and how jewish people had. In addition from the movie I realized that if you love someone you have to tell them everyday and let them know. You shouldn't stay it with you because you are scared of something, you should just let them know because you never know what can happen. Maybe tomorrow is too late to tell the boy/girl you like you love them.

Our world
Our planet is a big place with so many people, different languages and cultures. It's impossible to tell how many people there's alive in the world; babies around the world are born every second and people dies every second. It's shocking and you can see it with your own eyes in this link http://www.worldometers.info . Right now there is 7,215,014,980 people in this world. Well, not anymore. This link shows real time world stadistics about basically everything. You cannot even copy and paste a number because it changes in less than a second.
But not every person in this Earth has a proper life. The U.S. is not the same as China, the United Kingdom is not the same as South-America and Australia is not the same as Africa. Some countries are more developed than others and with a huge difference. In places like the U.S, Canada, Europe, Australia and some parts of Asia there's a better life. There, people have houses with electricity, water and light. They can buy food and clothes and live more or less good. Obviously that is not for everyone and with the crisis everytime the number of people living like this is getting little. I just hope politicians do their job well and all of this gets better soon.
In other countries like South-America, Africa and some parts of Asia it's not the same. But this can be showed even more in Africa. There, is very hot and it's desert. There is not so many rich people and they live super good while most of the population is poor. People starves and need water to survive. For the moment, today about 19,733 people have died of hunger in the world and this number grows one number approximately after 3 seconds.Probably most of them live in Africa. That's why many africans are these past days trying to go to Spain, to find a better life yet they are doing it illegally. People need to move to other countries to live better.
I think it's impossible to go to any country, city or town and not see someone that is not from there. I mean, someone who their family and surname is from another country even if they are living in that country for years. People is constantly moving from one town to another, from one city to another or to one country to another. Some of them do it to change, to try new things or because any other random reason. But a lot of them do it because they can't keep living in the way they do in their country because the situation is horrible; they need a work and need to collect money to give a proper life to their family. These people is most of the time from poor countries and they live poorly in the country they go too, but at least they live. They normally work with the worst jobs native people don't want to work of. For example, cleaning the streets or being the cleaning lady. Even though these things are changing lately.
London is a cosmopolitan capital where they respect cultures and as I got told, you can see so many people from different countries. There are many cities like this which actually is great.
The world is quite unfair for some people and I think it's not a very comfortable thought thinking that while I'm writing this and you are reading this and being in the year we are now, 2014, the world is still in these conditions and we can't do a lot to change it. No one is better than the other, no country is more worth than another and people shouldn't be dying because of hunger and thirst.
Awful reaction to Zantac
Medicines and drugs are in our daily life and most of us use them without thinking of how many consequences can they have.
Leanne Howes, a 17 year old girl took 150 mg dose of Zantac Ranitidine to treat her IBS (Irritable bowel syndrom, a sympthom based diagnosis characterized by chronic abdomina kpain, discomfort, bloating and aternation of bowel habits) and suffered an allergic reaction. This left her skin falling off in chunks; it burnt up, scabbed over and finally fell off.
Lianne had her first symptom when she fell ill. She was at work and didn't feel well so she bought some tablets, which didn't do anything wrong during that day until the next morning. Then she was rushed to the hospital and there she fought hard for her life. Doctors said that it was a miracle and she got treated in the same way as burns victims.
While she was recovering she had her mother and boyfriend by her side and he would always tell her she was beautiful even though she had lost hair, nails and everything.
Not everyone who suffers this survive and that is way Leanne feels so lucky to be alive. But now she is very scared of taking more medicines.
Here you can see from the photos the effects of her awful reaction:

Limits of science
These past years science has been growing way too fast and probably not even scientists know how far can this go. Science has arrived to that point where everything seems possible.
One of the things that they have succeed on is cloning. About 16 years ago scientists tried to clone a sheep and they did, even though she died early. From my point of view, cloning animals or people is something useless, and that it's only taking time from discovering more important things.
On the other hand, cloning organs or parts of the body is something I have no doubt that is essential and important for our daily life. Cloning organs would help and save so many lifes which would be a huge advance.
In my opinion, scientists are not wasting but not profiting their clever brains to solve grave things like cancer. 21th century and still we don't have a cure to these things that are killing people all over the world everyday.

Accents
It's incredible how without knowing other languages we can have an idea of how do they pronounce words and talk. For example, if I tell you to do mexican accent you would directly do some kind of "heyyy whazzupppp" or whatever because I don't know how to express the pronunciation but I'm pretty sure you would do something I would do too and everyone would. And why? If we don't even know a word from that language. When we hear someone talking in another language we directly have an idea of how do they talk. It's like every country has a topic everyone from other countries see and get unless when you are from that country. Haven't you ever wondered how does people see your language?
In this video, this man tried to do the accent of different countries in the world in English. It's very funny and Spanish one is in minute 3:05. So embarrassing!!! Is this how the world sees us?!
With this video below I laughed a lot. He teaches British people how to talk like a Spanish person.
And I can relate myself with this video because that is exactly what I would do. So funny.

Wees vrolijk
One of the greatest things from last summer is that I met some incredible people from Holland and France. I worked in a supermarket but I went to night clubs and one of the clubs I went is next to a camping full of dutchies so I met so many people from Holland. I got their numbers and talked to them during summer, even though I've stopped talking to some of them. But with one of them I still talk and I talk to her everyday actually. She has became a very good friend and I feel like I can tell her everything because 1. she is not from here and can't tell anyone here and 2. she is a really nice girl. She tells me everything and I tell her everything, and it has came to the point where we are like online bestfriends (?), yet I have my bestfriend here who I can talk face to face and I talk to her everyday too and she basically knows everything about me.
This girl Tessa is from a little town from Holland and she is from the same year as me. She is funny and she is quite similar to me, which is great! We talk in English because obviously she cannot talk Spanish nor Catalan and I cannot talk Dutch, but she knows a lot and we can communicate with each other without problems. In The Netherlands they are teached so well English and I would dare to say that everyone knows English good, not perfectly but so good that they could go to England and move around all the capital without problems, not like more than half of the people in Spain.
She has been there for me and the same I have and from her I met a friend of her which I've been talking too and in English too. He knows a lot of English as well and I think probably here is where I realized they know a lot of English because well, it's normal that Tessa knows English because she likes One Direction like me but that a guy knows a lot of English without liking so much a band that needs to understand it's not very common, at least here!
With Tessa and with other girls from Holland we send letters to each other like for Christmas or any other day of the year. It's so cool receving cards from other people from the world ! Tessa sent me a magnet from Amsterdam and it's very beautiful! I'm going to send her something soon!
From Tessa and Jurre I've learnt some Dutch vocabulary and it's awesome! I cannot pronounce any of those words because even though I've tried it several times they always tell me sincerely I don't pronounce it good haha! Sometimes I'm almoooost, but no.
Goedemorgen! Hoe gaat het? Mijn naam is Esther en ik hou van jou.
Haha I'm not sure if it's correct but at least I tried to say "Goodmorning! How are you? My name is Esther and I love you"
I know words like goodmorning, goodnight, how are you and to answer this, thank you and welcome, love, i love you, my name is, me too, honey, darling, you too, be happy, life is life and some words to make laugh of someone in a nice way and to say bon appetit. It's not that much but I'm happy with that!
I only hope one day I can fly to Amsterdam or their town to meet them because I really have a good friendship with them and we could really have a very nice time together! Plus I love Amsterdam and I want to visit that place so badly!
MAGCON boys
These past months the app called Vine has became more and more famous everytime to the point where Facebook is full of pages with these videos and almost everyone with a Facebook account watch them. These videos last 6 or 7 seconds and are basically to make people laugh or to describe a moment in your life that you may think you are the only one but that you are not.
In America these videos are very famous, more than here in Europe or any part of the world. Americans make so many videos relatable to our lifes and some of them are really funny. To be honest, I only have Facebook to check these videos, even though I have the Vine app on my phone and I'm all the time in it. It literally can make my day whenever I'm feeling down.
Some months ago my friend showed me one of this viners and told me she liked him a lot because he is so funny. This is Brent Rivera and I'm pretty sure you've seen a video of him because his vines are very relatable. From here, I started to follow him and I saw he appeared some times with more guys who had an account of videos too, so I started to follow them and saw the they are a group of boys from different zones of America (Los Angeles, Toronto, Omaha...) and they meet and make tours to meet their fans. Some of them have talents like playing instruments or singing, and the others have a really cool imagination to make videos.
I could say I'm "obsessed" with these lads because they are not stupid but like they were because they do some really dumb things but that makes me laugh everytime which I love it. So I'm always checking their videos on Instagram, Vine and Youtube (because they are youtubers too) and whenever I'm feeling moody or sad I watch their videos and the pain or sadnes goes away a bit.
So I would tell you to check some of their videos because they are actually really funny to me. I should tell you too that not everyone thinks they are funny and think they are kind of immature boys and that they are not funny at all!
In this video there are some of them and to be honest it's not really funny and I've never seen it all because I get bored but here it is.
Orphan Black
Orphan Black is a TV series which relates the story of Sarah Manning. The story starts with this woman, Sarah, when she is in the train station waiting for the train and she sees a woman that walks by her and leaves her bag and stuff in the floor and jumps to the railway to kill herself. This woman looked very similar to her, like if it was actually her and, while everyone came to help the dead woman, Sarah took all the stuffs she left in the floor and leaves.
The story starts here, when Sarah looks what's on the bag and goes to the woman house. She decides to be her and start like a new life because this woman seem to have a good life. She dresses with her clothes and live in the house. With her friend, they decide to say that Sarah is dead now and that she is Beth, this other woman. Her friend prepares the funeral and Sarah acts like she is that woman. She sees Beth had a boyfriend and she has to act like she is his actual girlfriend.
But what Sarah didn't expect at all was that Beth was involved in a some strange and private and probably dangerous thing, where the women are clons. She cannot understand what is this because suddendly she discovers Beth has a lot of money and that people is like nervous when they see her after days because she disappeared for some days.
In Sarah's apparently funeral, Sarah is there taking a look hiden of what's going on and then, she takes a car and there is another woman who looks practically the same as Sarah again, like another clon. That woman tells her she has to do some things but Sarah tried to ignore her. First that woman thinks that's Beth but then she realize she is not, so she tells her but all of a sudden someone shoots her and dies.
This is where I've seen for the moment and is really interesting even though it's a bit confusing sometimes for me to understand. But still I love it and I think it's awesome and if I had more free time I would watch all the chapters for sure!

Dolphins
If I could be an animal I think I would like to be a dolphin; they are very beautiful and cute.
Since I was little I've always liked dolphins. I remember I used to want everything related t o these beautiful animals, and until my sister was born, I got everything i wanted.
I wouldn't be being honest if I said dolphins are free. They are used in zoos for looking at and for shows and, even though I always thought they were happy doing that, now that I think about it probably they are not. I feel sorry for them, and basically for all the animals because what a sad life being stuch in a jail -most of the times little- for many years.
I've always liked going to see the dolphins and their shows, and I still have a memory from my childhood when I used to go to the zoo; I always went to see a dolphin called Anouk and I had pictures of him.
I barely remember it but apparently when I was little I told my parents I didn't want to be called Esther but "Dolphin", which is so pathetic. It seems like they did call me "Dolphin" for a whole day, but that I got tired and I hated that and I told them to stop calling me that.
