Stolen children

Approximately 50 years ago (or even more) something horrible happened in Spain during some years, which now it has been recorded in two chapters so everyone can know exactly what used to happen. 

There was a religious woman called Sor Maria and a doctor called Eduardo Vela,  that worked together and did horrible things; steal children. 
In those years, everyone used to be very religious and nuns used to be very important and belivable. I don't know a lot about this but according in what I've seen in the serie, those women used to be in the hospital to help to the new borns.

According to the two chapters, those religious women had contact with people from all around the spanish country to move their project and know exactly what was happening. They used to act like they helped young pregnant women -most of the times. They would lie to them and then tell them they were going to help them: give them a work and food until they have the baby and then they can go home. 

Everyone was very catholic so everyone used to trust them. Why should a nun lie and steal the babies from their mothers?


In the serie there are two different examples of what happened to two different young mothers and at the end it's the present and they have the chance to meet their daughters because they found them (which represents what is currently going on in Spain). One of the examples explain the story of a young girl that got pregnant with a guy. They weren't together, they just had sex. After that, they had to get married because in those years these things couldn't happen because then the family's reputation would be horrible. They were still friends and they accorded to help each other, but she was leaving the town to start from 0 because her parents didn't accept the baby.
So the girl went to the city and she couldn't find a work. Then she called somebody to see if they had a work for her and she told him she was pregnant. The guy said he would search a work for her, but he called one of the Sor Maria's contacts and she accepted to let her work there; they probably needed more babies for the rich families that couldn't have babies.
The girl went to there and the woman said she would let her work for her and then have the baby, but that she had to sign a contract that said she would give her baby up for adoption. She didn't accept and said she wasn't going to stay there, but the woman told her she wasn't going to leave the place, that they could let the thing go and when she has the baby they would talk and fix the things. She didn't have anything so she accepted.

Months later she had the baby; it was a girl. After some hours, Sor Maria went to her room and told her she had to sign a paper. She didn't pay attention and when she was about to sign, she saw it was a certificate to give the baby to adoption. Then she refused to, but the nun ask her how was she supposed to take care of a baby without money if her parents didn't accept the baby and the girl said she was going to do it anyways, that she accepted to do it. Then Sor Maria explained her a plan B -the new parents of the baby were in their way to the hospital so the nun couldn't let the baby go-. The plan was "You can go to your town and talk to your parents and ask them if they accept you taking the baby. Without that, you won't go anywhere. People won't help you. You need they by your side. Go and ask them if they finally accept, then come back. We will be caring of your baby until you come and then you can take her home.". She was very comprensive, why should she be lying? She is a nun. So the girl trusted her and left the hospital.

When the new parents arrived, Sor Maria took the baby and gave it to the new rich parents. What she didn't expect at all was the real mother coming back to take the baby home. But she arrived and the baby wasn't there. The nun said she didn't remember her and that she was crazy, that if she didn't stop she would call the police.


Another case explained in these two chapters it's a different kind of stealing. The girl had the baby at the hospital and seconds after the baby was born, Sor Maria took her and said she didn't breathe good, yet the mother was hearing her crying. Then the doctor Vela and the nun told the mother the baby died and the girl stressed to see her little dead baby. Then, the nun went to a private side and opened a freezer; there were one female baby and one male to prove them the baby was actually dead.
And sadly, this of the two babies in the freezer happened.



Dr. Vela used to be the one that made the papers of death and born of everything. The nun used to have control of every place where there were pregnant women and steal the babies and give them to their new families, who used to pay a lot for them.

Neither the pregnant women and the rich families knew the babies were stolen. 



At the beggining of this year, some people started to suspect what happened. All those mothers whose child was stolen never believed they were dead. Then everyone started to know about it, the media started to explain it and suddenly all those families started to fight. All those childs that knew they were adopted and all those childs that knew they have a twin somewhere out there. No one gave up.
The nun said several times she didn't remember anything about it but that "It was stupid to look after them" because "Maybe the childs are searching for their parents and when they find them they will see they have more children and they won't want to know about them". With that she showed she really remembered everything.

But this woman died when everything was going to be uncovered. 
Last week these two chapter were in TV and a new TV programme about this started. They show videos about brothers and sisters looking after their twins, parents explaining the day their baby was born in case there is one that can feel identificated... And people goes to there too. A supposed mother and a supposed daughter that are waiting for the DNA results and parents explaining their case, for example.

What does the fox say?

This is not a serious post, probably this is not even a post but I just wanted to show this. 
There is a song called "What does the fox say?", made by Ylvis. This song doesn't have a lot of sense but I find it very funny, either the song and the lyrics and so the video is.

At the beggining the song starts to raise the problem; it explains some sounds animals do and then he says there is one animal no one knows which is its sound and here is where the song starts. He says the possible sounds the fox do. 

The song is very funny and the video it's even funnier. I guess you are going to enjoy it and will be singing this song for the following couple of hours.

Lately, Facebook is full of Vines. Vines are short videos approximately of 7 seconds (normally, not in this case)  that are made to make people laugh. One of them is this one about this song. I love it!

I'm sorry this post does not have sense, I just hope I made you smile. 

Diana

Approximately one month ago a fan leaked a song by One Direction called "Diana" that is coming out in the new album Midnight Memories. The album is coming out at the end of november.

I know it's not right, and I never listen to leaked songs until the album is out, but this time was different. I listened the song and I thought it was a great song. 
Some minutes later, I read that song was written by one of the members of the band and that it's dedicated to those sucidial fans around the world, to those fans that have problems,that have depression, that cry every night to sleep, that self harm... Then I listened the song again and I realized it had sense.

This song has many enigmas. First of all, the name. According to some fans, this name is put because princess Diana. It seems like she had depression and she went through a difficult time but even that, she was still a princess. Those fans say this means even we are going through difficult moments, we are still princesses. 
Then there are some fans that say it has a meaning with Goddess Diana. She is the goddess of the war and the hunt. 


At the beggining of the song, it says : "The front pages are your pictures, they make you look so small".
Well, the front cover of the movie This Is Us is full of little squares and if you put zoom, you can see they are pics of people, of fans... 

There is a part that says: "I wanna reach out for ya, I wanna break these walls, I speak a different language...". It's like they are talking to their fans around the world; they know they can't help them talking face to face but they say this because they know there are thousands of girls with this problem around the world. This can be seen too where it says: "You've been lonely, you don't even know me, but I can feel you crying"; they don't know us personally but they know what some of their girls go through.

"Let me be the one to lift your heart up and save your life, I don't think you even realize baby you'll be saving mine"; it seems like they don't know they have saved and they are saving thousands of lifes around the world everyday. 


In the part that says "We all need something. This can't be over now. If I could hold you, swear I'd never put you down." I think it means we can't kill ourselves and that they are here with us, that they believe someway in us.



Diana song



I like this song a lot. They are always trying to make us feel better and love ourselves making songs like What Makes You Beautiful , Little Things ... This is one of the reasons I have the best idols in the world. 

7 again

If I could return to any age I would go to the age of 7. When I was 7 everything was very good. That year there wasn't a lot of crisis and I wasn't a teenager yet, so my parents weren't tired of me and my sister and I weren't arguing the whole time.

I don't remember a lot of that year. I acutally don't remember anything except I went for the first time to Dinsey Land Paris and Almeria.

I was very excited to go to Disney Land, like every child I guess. My sister was 2 years old so now she doesn't remember anything but probably she enjoyed it a lot even though she was that little.
I clearly remember everything from those days. We first went to Paris city some days with another family with children and it was very boring to me. I just liked going to the Eiffel Tower.
After those days, we went to Disney and it was awesome! And I remember I was smiling, laughing and enjoying every single moment. I loved those days.

That trip was long and amazing but it wasn't the only one. For my first time I went to my family's town in Almeria and I met some cousins I hadn't met yet. There I was with my grandmother, her sister, my aunts and my parents and sister. I went to many places including Mini Hollywood, a place inspired in the western. I had such a great time there too.

And when I was back I didn't go to my house; my uncle and aunt were going in a trip so me and my family spent some weeks in their big and beautiful home in Port de la Selva, next to the sea. It has many rooms so I was able to choose mine but as it is actually really big I was scared and I ended sleeping with my sister.
I spent both weeks either in the swimmingpool and beach, and inviting friends to spend a day with us. So it was like I had three different hollidays during one summer!


My sister and I had a really good relation not like years later: we were all the time fighting. But lately it seems this is changing and our relation is becoming better. And I love this.



Probably I can say that was one of the best years ever, at least one of the best summers ever!

And as I was 7, I didn't have exams nor a lot of homework. And I used to eat without regreting and I was albe to wear whatever that no one would tell me anything. Everything was perfect...

Otherside

"Otherside" is a song written by Ben Haggerty, known as Macklemore, which talks about a drug addition. In this song he talks about the experiences and what happens to people that consume it because he knows perfectly about all that world because personally him had an addition with it. 

After he wrote this song, many people told him he had saved their life with the help of this song, that they got support from it and that if it wasn't for "Otherside" they don't know where would they be now.

To let everyone know how much has that song helped people, he made another one called "Starting Over". This second song talks, at the beggining, about him and then about what people told him. 

There's a part where he says that "Otherside" was written by God but he was who had the pen in his hand so it's like he is saying that song is perfect because it saved many lifes and it's like he can't believe it so he says he was who wrote it but that who actually created the song was God.

At the end of the song he repeats a sentence that says "If I can be an example of getting sober, then I can be an example of starting over". This sentence means he can help people with alcohol and drug problems but that at the same time, he can help people with other kind of problems. Because in "Otherside", in the beggining the song says that he wants to escape, that he wants to sail away from where he is; is like telling people even though they can't see the light, that the only way they can see is escaping, there are other ways to get better and do things good.

I really respect Macklemore, I'm a huge fan of him. He showed he is a strong man, that he can beat whatever. Not everyone can do a recovery and be like he is now. I know what it is to be bad, almost sinking that you can't see the light at the end, and it's not that easy to get out of it. 

Am I beautiful now?

This song by Outcast Youth and Amy Lee talks about the story of a girl with an eating disorder because she wants to be beautiful. 

The song is sang by a boy that explains what a friend told him; she told him she needed help because she started cutting herself. She does not like what she sees in the mirror and tries to not to eat, but even she starves she is hungry and feels horrible. She explains him there's a boy she likes but he doesn't pay attention on her because he probably thinks she is fat and ugly. 
Then the history keeps going and the girl is some years older and she is thinner. She thinks there are some chances that boy asks her to go out, but she is still ashamed of herself. While all these years she explains she lost friends and things changed but she still does the same... because she can't stop.
Years later the girl has a boyfriend that loves her. She is stopping cutting.


I think this song is indirectly a protest to society's idea's of beautiful. It explains a story lived by thousands and thousands of girls around the world every day because they just want to be beautiful. They want to be loved, accepted and enough. They want to be perfect.

"I bleed" specifies what is currently known as beautiful, saying Katy Perry, Rihanna, Hale Berry and Beyonce probably never felt this fat and ugly like the girl does. All those women have approximately the same size and that is what society wants. If you are like them then you are beautiful.


But aside of this, I think it is also a protest to eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia. The girl starves and purges so she can be beautiful. 
Also it says if she is thin she will be loved by the boy she likes because while she is "fat" she can't be loved by him. 



I'm really connected with this song. I really like it. I'm sick of this society. Not thin? Then not beautiful. Easy. But eh! Society will call you fat, but when you starve they will say you are crazy and an attention seeker. And when you are anorexic they will feel sorry for you and will ask why is people so mean or they will just critiquize you more and say awful things. And when you are dead because you killed yourself or because anorexia killed you then you will have been always loved, you will have been always beautiful, you will be the poor girl that commited suicide and you will be "always missed".  

My plans for the future

Last year I finished the obligatory lessons, what means if I wanted I could have stopped studying and start to work, but I didn't. In September I started the new course I chose after months. Here you choose which lessons you want to take because these two years are like the preparation for the university, so you have to know very clearly what you want to do. As I want to study a career called "Traduction and Interpretation" all my lessons are about languages.

Basically I chose this career because I don't want to stay in this country anymore. My intention right now is to have my career and change of country to take a look and see if I could earn money and start a new life there, and if it doesn't work then I would change and keep exploring until I find my place.

Right now I would like to go to a small town in England or Ireland near the city, so when I've met some people and I'm adapted to the language and the differences I could go to the city and improve whatever I'm doing there. 
If it doesn't work there I would also like to go to Holland or Australia.

With this career there are so many works to do and I'm not sure of what I want to do because the one I want is not very well know and I don't know if with it I would earn a lot of money or not... So one of the reasons I decided to choose this one was because as I get tired fast of everything I can change work. 

Since I was little I've always wanted to be a teacher. I used to love drawing and writing on the blackboard a lot; It was like my favourite hobbie! I swear I loved it so much... even I used to have a little blackboard at home! 
But the idea changed. It's not that I don't want to be a teacher anymore because I would love to be a teacher for kids, but I changed my inspirations. Right now the thing I want to do is one called "Protocol". I would love to explain it but I really can't. It gets very difficult to explain.

The career "Traduction and Intepretation" includes both jobs and more! And I really like the others! So I will do my best to get the best grades I can so I can have my career done and leave this country finally!!!!
